Who I am

Mish is a UK based illustrator, she sketches with pen and ink/washprint. Her print work uses the traditional Lino, Etching and Aquatint, and more recently Stone Litho.

She worked as a musician as a violininst, a composer and a choral director. Her work in educational outreach programmes opened her eyes to how powerful stories can be, for both adults and children.

She spent a year at Sudbourne Park Printers in Suffolk, followed it with MA in Children’s Illustration at ARU in Cambridge.

In her stories for children and her general art work she wants to create a true reflection of the world we live in, with its warmth and sense of wonder, often to be found in places we might not always expect it.
